Southern Magnolia Filled Wedding

November 7, 2018

It doesn’t get more Southern than a wedding featuring Magnolia blooms, a cozy outdoor ceremony, and a biscuit bar! We are beyond smitten with all of the thoughtful details that Dairing Events created for Ellie and Jordan’s wedding. The bride’s grandparents farm served as the perfect location for this couples intimate wedding day. The couple included thoughtful details like pashminas for guests to wrap up in during the outdoor ceremony and a biscuit bar featuring preserves canned by the brides family. Make sure to pay attention to the brides advice at the very end – it’s a unique tip and something most forget!Southern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingTell us a little a bit about your wedding: I knew I wanted a rustic wedding. We have family property in Green Cove Springs, Florida on Black Creek (the Ira Farm) with a farm house with beautiful woods on the creek. I knew I wanted some part of the wedding out there, whether it was the rehearsal dinner or reception. Jordan’s mom had picked the perfect spot for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner (Keeler Property) so that helped with the decision of celebrating on the creek. For the colors, I have always loved the color green, blue and other natural colors. My style, I think, is classic and southern. Adair made my vision turn into real life. Everything was absolutely beautiful!Southern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingWhat were your favorite parts of the day? I loved getting ready with the girls in the morning. Also, Adair made us dinner plates after the wedding so Jordan and I could have a quick private dinner before the reception before we started socializing. It was a very special moment! I highly recommend this to every bride and groom because there is no way we would have eaten dinner if Adair and my mom didn’t plan that!Southern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingPlease describe any DIY, handmade, or personal details: We did have a biscuit bar. My family has property in Georgia and we make preserves every year. We thought it would be fun to make homemade biscuits and then use our preserves to put on top of the biscuits. Yum!Southern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingDo you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Definitely have a quick private dinner or meal before the reception. My other piece of advice.. if the wedding has an open bar, have a special place behind the bar with what the groom and bride want to drink. That way, the bride and groom will not run out of what they like.Southern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled WeddingSouthern Magnolia Filled Wedding

A Gold Military Wedding For Two Naval Flight Officers

October 29, 2018

After traveling the world with the Navy, Karmann and Daniel knew there was only one location for their nuptials, Pensacola, Florida, where they first met in flight school. The two decorated their Military wedding with gold accents, representing gold wings while coral and turquoise were a nod to the bright colors of Florida. Weber Events DIY-ed many of the wedding details including gold wine bottle centerpieces and guests were treated to coral koozie favors.Gold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingHow did you meet? We met in flight school in Pensacola, Florida. We were both students there.

What is your proposal story? We were visiting Daniel’s family for Thanksgiving in Ocala, Florida. Daniel suggested meeting up with one of his hometown friends in the park on Thanksgiving Day. While standing in the middle of the park “waiting for his friend” Daniel proposed! His friend had been hiding behind a tree the whole time filming the moment for us.Gold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingTell us a little a bit about your wedding: We wanted to bring together the bright colors of Florida and a tribute to our Navy lifestyle. We met while stationed in Florida and have been all over the world since, but Florida is always home for us. We are both Naval Flight Officers and proud of our gold wings, so gold accents with our bright Florida colors was a must. We also wanted it to just be a big party, so an open bar was another important aspect! We picked Boca Grande because we have always loved that area since Daniel’s family moved there several years ago.Gold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingWhat were your favorite parts of the day? Favorite pars of the day had to be the great views. The island is so beautiful and our photographer made sure to take us to spots she had found before for pictures. Everyone loved getting to visit such a beautiful island and it just made for such an amazing backdrop for the day.Gold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingGold and pastel Pensacola, Florida weddingDo you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Forget the traditions of a wedding. Do whatever you’d want for a big party with family and friends. We got so wrapped up in “this is what is supposed to be done at a wedding” and it got out of hand sometimes. Do what you want!Gold and pastel Pensacola, Florida wedding

October 17, 2018

If you’ve ever dreamed of a classic country club wedding then this white and gold wedding is for you! Make sure to catch all of the delicate details below captured by Brooke Images including one swanky cake table! And if you love their marble place cards as much as we do you can learn how to make your own right – here!Classic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingHow did you meet? My older sister met Travis through mutual friends and was secretly sending me pictures of him throughout the weekend, saying I met the perfect guy for you. We ended up meeting a couple days later. He asked my sister for my phone number and we went on our first date a week after meeting. We have been together ever since – going on 6 years!Classic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingWhat is your proposal story? Travis proposed to me on a long weekend trip to NYC. He proposed in Central Park and had arranged for a photographer to capture the whole thing. It was so special and we had the best time celebrating the rest of the weekend.Classic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingTell us a little a bit about your wedding: Travis and I are both very simple and prefer neutral colors. I had a vision for a lot of greenery and white flowers. Travis is an avid golfer and we both love the beach, which is how we landed on our venue, it was also in a great location for out of town guests. I wanted a light, airy and clean look and I think it was executed perfectly!Classic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingWhat were your favorite parts of the day? We have both said that having everyone we love at the same place for the night was the greatest feeling in the world, we were so sad when it was over and wish we could redo it! I would also say walking down the aisle to my husband was so surreal, I was eerily calm and remember being so happy in that moment.Classic Gold Country Club WeddingClassic Gold Country Club WeddingDo you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Always remember that this is YOUR day and everyone is there to celebrate YOU! Try not to let the planning overwhelm you, it all works out in the end.Classic Gold Country Club Wedding
