You may remember this sweet couple from their engagement we featured last summer (click here) and we are so excited to share their gorgeous wedding with you today. A Charleston Bride transformed Lowndes Grove Plantation into a romantic pastel dream in shades of blue, blush, and green. Featuring a reception bursting with florals including a gorgeous floral chandelier suspended above the dance floor by Stephanie Gibbs Events. One of our favorite details are the brides custom shoes painted by Áine Cole Art featuring scenes from the wedding day. We promise you will get lost in these gorgeous wedding photos from Laura Anne Watson! Click Here for a peek at their wedding video!
How did you meet? We met through the dating app OKCupid! Elizabeth saw Caleb’s profile about 8 times but thought he was too attractive. Finally, she saw his profile one last time and decided to give him a chance. Once she read his profile she realized that she had found her perfect match. What is your proposal story? Caleb whisked Elizabeth away on a “family ski trip” that was actually an engagement weekend! Caleb proposed in front of a fireplace in their lodge and the rest is history. What was the most important to the two of you while planning? The most important thing for us was to have a day filled with love and to be surrounded by everyone that means the most to us. We wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day or our entire wedding weekend in Charleston.Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Have a great band, good food, and don’t worry too much about anything else. Invite those that you truly love and couldn’t see your day without and hire a wedding planner especially if your wedding is going to be a destination. Lastly, take time to appreciate everything on your wedding day because it goes by so quickly. One thing that I forgot to do, which I sadly regret is not looking at myself in a full-length mirror before I walked down the aisle.
