Supplies You Will Need:
Kate Aspen Bottle Openers
Vinyl or Sticker Letters
Transfer Tape (not necessary if you choose to use sticker letters)
Cricut Machine
These DIY bottle openers are incredibly easy to make yet look really high end. To create your bottle openers first type up your monograms (or fun sayings) in Cricut Design Space. I used the block lettering Cricut Sans for the monograms and Babette for the fun sayings. Create duplicates of every monogram. If you don’t have a Cricut you can instead purchase sticker letters. It just won’t give you the ability to change the size or colors of your monogram. Once you have typed up all of your monograms have your Cricut cut them out on vinyl. Weed the negative space from each letter.
To apply the monogram letters you will work from the bottom up. Place a piece of transfer tape on the bottom or “shadow” layer of your monogram. Place this layer a little to the left of the center on your bottle opener.
Place a piece of transfer tape on the second “top” layer of your monogram. Carefully line up the bottom edges of your letters and apply this layer on top of the first making sure to center it in the middle of your bottle opener.
Your DIY bottle openers are now finished and ready for gifting! Kate Aspen offers a variety of fun gift bags and boxes that would be perfect for these custom bottle openers. I especially love these bags for a bachelorette party that you could fill with lots of little goodies!
