Watch out flowers there’s a new kid in town and it’s name is Protea! The Protea has made a huge splash in weddings this year and it’s no wonder why. This exotic South African flower adds a fun pop to bouquets and centerpieces and is personally my favorite flower right now. Protea’s look great alone as a single bud or arranged with roses and greenery. But no matter how you choose to arrange them Protea’s are sure to add a unique touch to your wedding! via Jose Villa Lauren Kinsey Photography via Style Me Pretty // Byron Loves Fawn via Love Wed Bliss Louisa Bailey Photography via 100 Layer Cakevia Ellis Photo StudioBrandon Chesbro Photography via Wedding Chicks via Kevin Charlie PhotographyJoielala Photographie via Love and LavenderRobyn Preston Photography via Green Wedding ShoesJose Villa via Style Me Pretty // Brancoprata via Style Me Prettyvia Wedding Chicks

Today’s mid week wedding inspiration is such a treat as it is full of fun DIY details and the bride and groom have quite the romantic story! Joel and Amy met overseas and dated long-distance – she was living in Rome and he in Ohio. After months of handwritten letters and Skype sessions the two found themselves in love and Joel quickly relocated to Rome. Joel and Amy planned a sweet DIY wedding in the brides hometown of New Hampshire. Their ceremony at the Valley Bible Church was an intimate one, as this is the church the bride attended growing up. The couples reception was held in an old stone barn near the Enfield Shaker Museum. Guests were served on vintage china collected by the bride and treated to buckeyes and mini maple syrup, a nod to the couples hometowns of Ohio and Vermont. The bride handcrafted the majority of the reception decor giving the space an intimate and personal feel. Enjoy all of the images below from Ampersand Photography!

Lately I’m loving weddings infused with copper details. Sometimes all you need to make your wedding pop is a fun new element. Copper is the perfect addition and makes even the tiniest of details shine. And if your signature drink is a Moscow Mule (my personal favorite!) You could have copper mugs engraved with your wedding date for guests to take home! Happy Weekend! I thought I’d close out the week with this adorable image. Have you ever seen a tinier kilt or a cuter little guy wearing it? I hope you all survived this brutally cold week and have fun plans for the weekend. I’m skipping town and heading to Savannah for a day trip with my girlfriends. I’m looking forward to sightseeing but I would be lying if I didn’t admit my main goal is to visit their extra-large Anthropologie! Hope you have a great weekend!
I don’t know about you, but I think this is just about the cutest ring bearer I’ve ever seen!

With the mountains of Big Ridge State Park as a backdrop, Andrea and Tyler’s rustic Tennessee engagement just makes you want to curl up by a crackling fire with your loved one. This sweet couple made special Mr and Mrs cups for their cuddly mountain engagement while Alex Bee Photo captured every single smiling moment.

When it comes to picking a gift for your favorite girls you want something that is thoughtful and really says thank you. Thank you for their years of friendship and for standing by you as you plan your dream wedding. And nothing says personal quite like a monogrammed gift. Below are six of my favorites including a super chic Clare Vivier clutch and a Zoe Chicco necklace. And the best part is all of these gifts can be used on wedding day and worn again every day after!

Happy New Year! I thought I would start the year off with a trip to the breezy beaches of the Bahamas through today’s gorgeous high fashion engagement. With a wedding theme of “Shipwrecked Romance,” this couple chose the private community of Lyford Cay for their engagement. With it’s lush greenery and historic cracked walls this engagement feels more like a portrait of a relaxed island vacation. This blogger bride called upon her friend Bahamian fashion designer Brynda Knowles to design a gorgeous Oscar De La Renta inspired gown which provides the perfect dash of elegance to the island landscape. I’d have to say their photographer Lyndah Wells knocked it out of the park with this stylish engagement which has left me day dreaming of warm summer days spent at the beach!

I just love weddings full of greenery and organic elements and that is why I simply adore the trend of green wedding wreaths. Whether hanging from the doors to your ceremony or adorning your cake a green wreath adds a simple and fresh accent.
