Fall is right around the corner and with cooler temps come more nights spent outdoors. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate an engagement than with an al fresco dinner for two so today I’ve teamed up with Cricut to create a camping themed party. I’m not one for sleeping outside but I sure like the idea of glamping and this dinner party includes all of the cute camping accoutrements, minus the bugs and sleeping outside! Read on to learn how I created this cozy camping themed party and how you can easily re-create this in your own backyard! I designed this table around simple enamel camping plates. Rather than simply printing out a menu I used my Cricut to cut a vinyl menu that could stick to the plates. This made the plates much more interesting and elegant for a dinner party. Fifty Flowers supplied gorgeous stems of orange dahlias and ranunculus to decorate the table. Fifty Flowers was a dream to work with and I highly recommend them! They provide wholesale flowers direct from the farm to your doorstep, making decorating for a simple dinner party or big event a cinch. Every couple has a special story and you want all of your wedding details to represent your uniqueness. With a Cricut you can easily customize all of your wedding details. For example, for this engagement party I created favor bags filled with s’mores fixings of marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. Using my Cricut I created foil stickers stamped with the couples names to personalize the favors. With a Cricut the personalization options are endless! Every good campsite needs romantic lighting and I used my Cricut to create mini paper lanterns for the table. Using a template, I printed out the lantern pattern and then simply cut and folded as directed (Find the template by searching “lantern” in the Cricut Design Space). Creating this styled shoot was my first experience with a Cricut and I was so impressed with how easy and versatile it is to use. Using the Canon PIXMA Wireless All-in-One Printer I made signs inviting guests to grab a pillow and head outside. I made these pillows with my Circuit using the glitter iron-on transfer and they are the perfect addition to a dinner outdoors. This wireless Canon printer is great to use with your Cricut as it is compatible with the Cricut “Print and Cut” feature making printing your designs super easy!
