Romantic Lace Wedding Dresses Are Back

Over the past two years lace wedding dresses have seen a huge comeback, thanks in large part to style maven Kate Middleton. Her stunning lace Alexander McQueen wedding gown set the perfect tone of elegance and romance for her Royal wedding. Lace has always been a staple in weddings starting with Queen Victoria’s nuptials to Prince Albert in 1842. Until recently lace was used in smaller amounts relegated to veils, bust lines and gown overlays. But I am happy to see it making a comeback and it’s no wonder brides today still love this feminine fabric. With it’s intricate details a lace gown casts a timeless and delicate bridal look. Perfect for weddings of all styles from Bohemian to Rustic or Classic, it appears the lace gown is here to stay and I for one couldn’t be happier! lace_001via Ellis Photo Studiolace_002Ruth Eileen Photography via Style Me Prettylace_003Bryce Covey Photography via Once Wed // Jose Villa via Style Me Prettylace_004Elizabeth Messina via Bridal Musingslace_005via Jose Villalace_006via Just a Pretty Bridelace_007The Nichols via Elizabeth Anne Designs // Brumley & Wells via Once Wedlace_008Tec Petaja via Once Wed
