Thank you Middle Sister for sponsoring this post. Bring your favorite Middle Sister wine along to all of your celebrations this year!
I love nothing more then grabbing my friends, a great bottle of wine, and setting up an impromptu summer picnic! There’s nothing better than enjoying summer with those you love and warm nights are best celebrated over a crisp glass of wine. If you’re looking for a relaxed engagement party or bridal shower idea then a picnic is a great way to go. Today I am partnering with Middle Sister wines to show you just how to create the perfect no fuss backyard picnic to celebrate the bride to be!Did you know Middle Sister wines was inspired by a real middle sister? Founder Terry Wheatley was fascinated by her best friend’s middle daughter, Erin. From childhood, she was just more outrageous, more free-spirited and simply larger than life. Terry created Middle Sister wines for middle sisters everywhere, so they finally get the attention they deserve. To create this backyard picnic I grabbed melamine plates in fun pink patterns and matched with bright orange napkins. Orange and pink are great colors for a bridal picnic and they scream summer! I made diamond ring wine charms for each of the glasses using cardstock. During a picnic it’s easy to loose track of your glass and these wine charms are a fun addition. Picnic’s are a great excuse to serve cute food so I added fun touches to the snacks like wrapping baguette sandwiches in parchment paper and bakers twine. These details may seem small but they make a big impact in creating the overall feel of your party.I absolutely love that Middle Sister wines was founded by a women. While women enjoy wine just as much as men, we rarely hear about women winemakers. It wasn’t easy for Terry to get Middle Sister wines off the ground as at the time the idea of a stick figure on a wine label was considered “crazy.” The founders stood by their product and pushed through the criticism. Their crazy idea went on to be loved by millions of women and turned the brand into a national success! Middle Sister wines are also proud to support causes women care about, including Sonoma Valley Wine Business Executive MBA Scholarship for women in the wine industry, Angels Share and Heart of the Vine. This year, Middle Sister wines turns 10! To help celebrate, the brand is hosting a monthly Kate Spade purse sweepstakes. You can enter to win this month’s giveaway by clicking here. I don’t know about you, but Middle Sister wine and a new Kate Spade bag sound like a pretty good combination to me!Looking to grab some Middle Sister wine for your next party?
