Thank you Facebook Marketplace for sponsoring this post. There’s something for everyone!
I think we can all agree that the holidays can be an expensive time – especially if you are planning a wedding! Travel, gifts, and dining out can all add up and make it difficult to keep saving for your upcoming nuptials. If you are looking to make extra money for the holidays, selling items on Facebook Marketplace is the solution. Facebook Marketplace is an easy and convenient place to buy and sell used items, and I am excited to show you how it can help with your budget this holiday season!
Facebook Marketplace is super user-friendly and will have you on your way to selling items and making extra cash in minutes! The first step to selling an item on Facebook Marketplace is to decide what you want to sell, then taking a few great photos. You want the photos to show off your item in the best light, but make sure to be honest and include photos of any chips, scratches or dents. I am a bit of a minimalist and do not like keeping items in my home if I am not using them. Because of this, I am a regular user of Facebook Marketplace. I photographed my item against a white backdrop and near a window with bright light for the best exposure.Once your photos are ready, log in to your Facebook account and look for the Facebook Marketplace shop icon. Once you’re there, click on the blue “sell something” button. Then, it’s as simple as filling out your description, price, location, and uploading your pictures.
Listing your item on Facebook Marketplace only takes five minutes. You can list while you do chores in the house or watch TV – it’s that easy! Once you have listed your item, it is added to Facebook Marketplace. Then, buyers can browse and discover based on price, location, or category. Interested buyers can contact you over Messenger to ask questions, discuss price, and choose a safe pickup location. The most exciting part about Facebook Marketplace is that my items sold relatively fast. This past spring, I helped my parents sell hundreds of items from their home, as they were moving. Items listed in the morning often sold by the afternoon and the buyers were eager to pick up immediately! Selling items on Facebook Marketplace is hands down the fastest way to make extra money this holiday season.
Everyone has past season clothes, handbags, old toys, or furniture laying around. Rather than let it gather dust, take twenty minutes out of your day and list them for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Even if you only sell half of the items you list, you will have cleaned out your closest and made a little extra cash to spend on gifts (or yourself) this season! Plus, cleaning out your closets gives you a head start on New Year’s resolutions! We all spend tons of time on social media, and with Facebook Marketplace you can easily browse items or list your own without downloading a new app or account. With a platform that allows you to sell items from home and within minutes, there’s no reason not to sell this holiday season!
