With the holiday’s right around the corner I decided to whip up a last minute DIY colorful pom pom wreath for my front door. Living in a townhome community I have a pretty boring forest green front door. With no chance I’ll be able to paint it another color in the near future I needed a colorful holiday wreath to spruce it up! You only need three items to make this DIY pom pom wreath and it is super easy to make – no crafting skills required! So read on below to learn how to make a pom pom wreath in only five minutes! And if you’re looking for more holiday crafts check out our DIY newlywed ornaments here.
First you will need to purchase a pre-made wreath. I picked up a real wreath at Trader Joe’s for $9 but if you want one that will last next season I have rounded up a few of my favorites below. This wreath is quite lush, this one is a great price, and these small wreaths would be great for windows.
Add a drop of hot glue to the back of your first pom pom. Place your pom pom down on your wreath and press gently to secure. Continue adding glue and pom poms to your wreath. I alternated with large and small pom poms to give my wreath more depth. Hot glue dries in seconds so your wreath is ready to hang the minute you are finished placing pom poms. And yes, I’m wearing a sleeveless shirt for this photo because Christmas in Charleston means 70 degrees. 😉 If you’re loving the pom pom trend as much as I am make sure to check out our DIY pom pom baskets as well!
